We are the a bloggers network  based in Greece founded on ethical and professional standards. We encourage positive cooperation, education and collaboration among our diverse membership.

We are the first blogger networking group established in Greece. Our members are Greeks and expats who live in Greece and cover Greece as a travel destination in various languages.TBG works with Greece-based businesses to help promote authentic travel and increased awareness of Greek travel destinations.

Why form Travel Bloggers Greece?

Travel blogging is a fairly new profession. We also know it is the next big thing in travel. Travelers love to hear about authentic experiences with fresh perspectives and unique voices that go beyond traditional media. We believe that Greece, as one of the most visited destinations in the world, is well-suited to help bring travel blogging to a new level. TBG aims to connect bloggers, writers and photographers who believe in publishing quality content about their Greek travel experiences.

We organize workshops in Greece for bloggers who aim to hone their craft.  Through education and positive networking TBG will continually take travel blogging in Greece to a new level.

How does TBG work? Are you a travel blog?

We are not a travel blog or a publication. We are a network of travel bloggers started by travel bloggers. We are Greek and non-Greek travel bloggers that live in Greece and blog in different languages.

TBG works with Greece-based travel industry organizations to connect them with professional travel bloggers. Each member has their own unique blog and they have met the TBG membership requirements criteria. Our goal is to heighten the level of awareness about the importance of travel blogging in Greece.

We also have a starter membership level which introduces new travel bloggers to the industry. We aim to offer a professional networking and educational community for tomorrow’s travel bloggers right here in Greece.

Who is a member of TBG?

TBG is a growing network of Greece-based travel bloggers. Members are both Greek and expats who live in Greece and blog in other languages.   Each blogger covers Greece as a destination. They all have different backgrounds, career paths and talents.  They are passionate about travel and especially the Greek travel experience.

What kind of blogs work with TBG?

Our network is diverse. It is comprised of members who are travel blogging either full or part-time. Because of our diversity, TBG bloggers blog in many languages. However, each blog touches on the Greek travel and culture experience. We are about quality. Every blogger agrees to follow professional standards and the TBG Code of Ethics.

Who can join TBG?

TBG is the only blogging network in Greece that takes blogging seriously but has fun!  That’s why upon joining, TBG members all agree to an ethical and professional criteria that any business could expect when working with us.

Does the TBG have meetings?

Yes, the TBG will have regular meetings in Athens, Greece. We hold craft workshops and networking events. We also participate in blogger trips throughout Greece.

What benefits can I expect as a travel blogger?

This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of something new in Greece – the very first network both Greek and international travel bloggers who love blogging about Greece.  We have the same passion as you and aim to raise the level of the craft in Greece. We’re about positive collaboration. No matter what level you may blog at — we want to hear from you. We believe we can all learn from each other.

I’m a travel blogger. Does my blog need to be in English or Greek?

Your blog can be in any language. We have Greece-based members who blog in different languages. You must meet TBG criteria only.

I’m a travel blogger. How much does it cost to join?

There are two membership levels. Full membership is for more experienced and professional travel bloggers. Starter membership was created to encourage new travel bloggers to the field. These costs go back to running the organization. Please contact us for information on membership criteria and membership rates for 2016.

I’m in the travel industry but I don’t have a blog. Can I join?

We are only accepting blogger membership. You can work with our bloggers! We consider all proposals from businesses related to Greek travel experiences.

I’m a travel professional and I want to promote my hotel, restaurant and destination. Can I work with you?

We are open to working with anyone associated with the travel industry in Greece. Please send us an email with your proposal and we will answer your query.

What benefits can I expect as a travel industry professional (hotel owner, tour operator, restaurateur) if I work with TBG?

We are a network of travel bloggers with a specific interest focusing on travel in Greece.  We are the only Greece based travel blogging network that abides by professional and ethical standards.  Our membership is diverse and we have both Greek members and expats living in Greece who blog about Greece in various languages — adding to our international reach.

Working with TBG means working with a team rather than an individual. There is strength in numbers. With our diversity and our professional standards we simply offer more coverage and quality coverage of your destination and business. We can also direct you to a blogger interested in your cause or be involved in a trip to your destination in which several travel bloggers participate.

Does TBG as an organization make money?

TBG is a non-profit networking group. We are completely organized by travel bloggers for travel bloggers. TBG will never favor or benefit any particular travel organization, TBG member or travel blog.
