What is your blog about?
Trips and Dreams by Mary is mainly a travel blog, the articles I publish are mainly about my travels in Greece and the rest of the world. The articles contain a lot of information about the places I visit but also useful tips for those who want to plan their trip and are looking for information on the most important sights to see, the gastronomy of the place, hotels and means of transport that they will use and that will make their journey easier.
Why did you start your blog?
Whenever I returned from a trip I wrote in a diary the most important places I visited and the most beautiful but also the difficult moments of my trip. Later I started uploading photos on social media (photography is one of my hobbies) and writing a short story. Then a friend came up with the idea for the blog so that all the information is gathered in one place and can be read by anyone who wants to travel. Thus at the end of 2014, I started my blog trips and dreams, later it changed to trips and dreams by Mary.
What is one of your most viewed posts you’d like to share with us?
Τhe most popular post on my blog is a trip to Andrianoupolis-Edirne in Turkey but I would like to share with you my favorite trip to Patagonia. One of my most beautiful trips.
What was one of the most memorable trips you’ve taken and written about on your blog — and why?
My trip to Patagonia, as I mentioned above, was the most beautiful and exciting trip to date. Meeting nature, unique landscapes, strange animals and plants, that you do not see anywhere else on our planet. Ιt was like living on another planet.
Βut I cannot fail to mention that my last trip to Epirus, in Tzoumerka was one of the trips that left me with the best impressions. The unique landscapes in the mountains but also the hospitality of the locals was a big surprise for me.
What do you like most about blogging about Greece?
I have traveled to many countries of the world but when I write on my blog about Greece, it is my best. Maybe because it is my country, maybe because it has infinite beauties, maybe because I want to encourage people to visit it.
Give us one travel tip for those who have not traveled to Greece yet
At the first opportunity to visit Greece because it has a lot to offer, here they will find what they will see in the rest of the world. Amazing landscapes, archeological sites, tasty local food and unique hospitality, mountain and sea for activities, sun and much more.
Any advice for new bloggers?
Be patient, be yourself and do not copy other bloggers. Everything wants its time.
One place in Greece AND in the world you’d love to visit in the future that you have not been to yet.
I want to visit Australia and New Zealand. Is my big dream! I want to visit Morocco, Tel Aviv, Armenia, Georgia and many other countries.
In Greece I want to go to Crete, unfortunately, I have not been able to visit it until today.
One place in the world AND in Greece you could visit over and over again.
Istanbul is my favorite place in the world and Mount Olympus in Greece.
If you could invite five famous people to your fabulous upcoming dinner party — who would make your list?
I would call 5 people who love Greece and advertise it abroad in the best way, to say a big thank you! Of course I do not know if they would do me the honor, however I would do my best….
