Members of Travel Bloggers Greece headed to the Nafpaktos to blog about the beautiful region overlooking the Corinth Gulf.
The weekend blogger trip was sponsored by Go Nafpaktia and the action packed scheduled brought us to explore the famous Venetian castle and port.
We also had the chance to be part of a jam-packed crowd who came for the weekend for the military reenactment of the famous Battle of Lepanto.
Go Nafpaktia also arranged a fantastic day trip north of Nafpaktos to Oreini Nafpaktia where we took part in a magical chestnut festival complete with great local food, horse riding, games for the kids and even live jazz music!
Afterwards, we took a guided hike through the lush forest and ended up at a picturesque waterfall.
We experienced incredible Greek hospitality from the organizers of Go Nafpaktia who are doing a great job of promoting their region in new ways.
We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Nafpaktos and at Hotel Akti Nafpaktos. Both hotels are just a short walk away from Nafpaktos Town. Meals were delicious and hearty, provided by Hotel Nafpaktos.
We also want to thank the Crystal Mountain Hotel, Ta Petrina – a member of the Guest Inn Network of Rural Accommodation and Avance Travel for helping to sponsor the blogger trip and for showing us their beautiful region! We look forward to returning again.
